Keep your rifle by your side аккорды

I’ve been seeing a false narrative spreading around that this song was made to bash gun owners, or conservatives or religious people or Americans or whatever and it’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen. These people really think Ubisoft is crying in a corner saying “NOOOOOO YOU CANT LIKE THIS. ” or “PROTECTING YOUR FAMILY IS BAD. 1. ”

And not to mention all the wannabe militia LARPers who think there’s gonna be a second civil war calling it their anthem. None of these people have played the game I guarantee it. Here are some facts for y’all:

The game is pretty patriotic, very pro-gun, and while it does jab at conservatives and country folks every now and then it’s never any serious insults.

The MAIN HEROES OF THE GAME ARE PATRIOTIC REDNECKS WHO LOVE GUNS. MANY OF THEM ARE RELIGIOUS. IT PORTRAYS A POSITIVE IMAGE OF THE COMMON MAN USING THEIR SECOND AMENDMENT RIGHTS TO DEFEND THEIR LOVED ONES. IF YOU PLAYED THE GAME YOU WOULD KNOW THIS.

The cult are not “based redpilled conservatives” or whatever. In fact, some of them, including Joseph openly criticize conservative policies and politicians throughout the story.

Folks who work at Ubisoft have OPENLY STATED that they wanted the cult to have likable music you could sympathize with that would make you question “maybe these guys aren’t so bad”

“Keep Your Rifle By Your Side” is embraced by the resistance and they play it at liberated camps, taking the song back as an anthem for protecting themselves and their loved ones from the cult. Kinda funny how y’all say “LOL WE ARE TAKING THIS SONG AS OURS LIKE YANKEE DOODLE” like bruh, if you played the game you would know that the good guys already do that.

The cult isn’t even always portrayed as being in the wrong. It often hints that while their methods are awful, their beliefs are sometimes true.

When the game came out, I remember many left-leaning folks had a problem with the game for being too patriotic or not making enough of a statement. But now there’s this narrative that the game is. about purple haired “woke” communists fighting poor innocent Christian southerners. Can’t you guys just play the game or do some research about it?

I love this song, and I don’t want people to think the song or the game was just made to say “AMERICA BAD” or something. At the same time, I don’t want idiots who think they’re future civil war heroes and make Kyle Rittenhouse vaporwave edits to “claim” the song. I’m just here to listen to some damn good music from one of my favorite games of 2018.
