Dew has fallen on the earth

I see my day, I see my world,

I’m coming to you! I this ticket hold.

I’m coming to you! I’m on my way,

But, only I’m asked to here stay.

Dew has fallen on the earth,

It looks like plain water drops,

But, this is someone’s teardrop,

But, this is someone’s woe atop.

I am told that life is short,

And while my path to clouds purports,

On the Earth, there is plenty of space

For a hard fall from the heavens’ grace.

So you’d forgive me, sweetheart,

I won’t be coming, I’m not the same, to start.

And among those lonely, to put at ease,

My song is like a gentle breeze.
