Formaldehyde is a gas. Formalin is the result of mixing formaldehyde with water. It is a solution used for disinfecting and preserving organisms. It is dangerous to inhale formaldehyde so people nowadays only use it when nothing else is available.

I don't see why there should be a comma in this sentence: "I am worthy enough, to take the place". But it's up to you. Else, I don't speak Russian, but it would do a beautiful original.

I know essentially zero Russian, but the repetition of the line "No one noticed the exchange" in the last two paragraphs of the English translation is a copy-paste error, right? The Russian text has "Никто не заметил подмены" the first time and "Ключи проверяю в кармане" the second. Anyway, thanks for translating, really nice song.
