Келия там одинокая,
В ней Серафим обитал.
Знала пустыня широкая
Как подвиг он совершал.
Там, при дороге под соснами,
Камень тяжелый лежал,
Старец ночами бессонными
Здесь на коленях стоял.
Лето и зиму холодную
Он, не смыкая очей,
Выстоял волей свободною
Тысячу дней и ночей.
Весь без участен ко внешнему
В сердце молитву слагал.
"Боже, будь милостив грешному", -
Старец усердно взывал.
Годы прошли, но чудесного
Старца с любовью мы чтим.
Помощь дает нам небесную
Батюшка наш Серафим.

Asterisks look down from heaven .
Quiet around . from the monastery
Stretches of Sarov forest.
Keliya there alone,
It Seraphim lived .
Knew the desert wide
As a feat he performed .

Heavy stone lay
The elder nights sleepless
There was kneeling .
Summer and winter cold
He is not closing his eyes ,
Survived will freely
A thousand days and nights.

Years passed , but the miraculous
Elder of the love we honor .
