The Han River is a common place in Korea for suicides. People will throw themselves off the bridge that crosses over the river. This person, who is looking over the Han River, could be contemplating suicide or dealing with depressing thoughts.

“Dduksum” (뚝섬) is an island located in South Korea, in the Han River that runs through Seoul.
