A “narco” is a person involved in organized crime or illegal narcotic trade. “Trapping” is a slang word used to describe the action of selling drugs. Pablo Escobar, a notorious drug lord often referred to as “The King of Cocaine,” was the wealthiest criminal in history with a net worth of $30 billion until his death in 1993.

In addition to his wealth, Escobar was known to be a brutal narco-terrorist who didn’t hesitate to carry out attacks and kill anyone who disobeyed him. “Cabbage” means money—Takeoff feels like people turn mean or greedy when it’s about the money.

“Mumble Rap” was first coined by Wiz Khalifa in 2016. It’s used to describe raps featuring heavy autotune and little lyrical substance.

Migos claim their lyrics are on par with that of “real rap.”

The Black Mamba is one of the world’s deadliest snakes—just 2 drops of their venom can kill a human in as little as 20 minutes.

A “bando” is an abandoned house, often where drugs are sold and made. Migos experienced trap houses the drug trade growing up on the north side of Atlanta.

Takeoff is referring to sending a pack of cocaine (possibly on a plane) to the capital of Colombia, Bogota.

Medellin is the second largest city in Colombia. Like Honduras and Tijuana mentioned earlier, it too had a ruthless cartel organization in the 1970s and 80s. Famous figures like Pablo Escobar founded the cartel and smuggled drugs into surrounding countries, especially the United States.
